Do you profusely sweat all the time? Does it seem like no matter where you are be it day or night that you are always swearing? If you want to stop constant sweating there are a few things you need to keep in mind. A center layer in your skin has glands which produce the sweat. This is a perfectly normal bodily function. As it becomes hotter the glands release sweat to the top of the skin to cool down your body.

Many factors can contribute to how much sweat is produced. While the temperature and how active you are physically can produce sweat, you can also inherit the tendency to sweat from your parents as well. If you are constantly sweating all the time it might be a good idea to ask if your family has the same issues.

If the night time seems to be a time when you sweat a lot as well, your body may be reacting to the fact that you are getting older. As the sweat glands in teenagers begin to mature, more specifically the underarm glands called apocrine, they will sweat more than usual. As women who are facing menopause get fluxes in their hormones, they tend to sweat more at night as well. As medical researchers look further into this problem they have learned that men face these night sweats as well as later life hormones begin to change in the male version of menopause named andropause.

If you want to stop constant sweating, what do you have to do? There are a few ways to stop this issue:

- Wearing clothes made out of cotton and other natural fibers. These type of materials are lighter and they let your skin receive more air. This reduces the amount you need to sweat.

- Do not drink a lot of alcohol or caffiene, eating spicy foods need to be avoided as well. They all raise your bodies overall temperature.

- Keep the air in your room cold at night.

- Drink plenty of cold water throughout the day and right before bedtime.

- Use a loofah sponge when you bathe and bathe more frequently. A washcloth does not pull the sweat away as well as a loofah will.
