/>The word “Menopause” is often frightenting to many people–both women and men. Traditional medicine often says that it is a time when a woman will begin to have serious physical, mental and emotional symtoms which all lead to her becoming “old”. Often, dangerous hormones are recommended which have terrible side effects that can eventuate in heart disease and cancer. Even television and radio commercials are now admitting this fact. Let us take a look , therefore, at the process of “Menopause”. This time in a woman’s life is more than the cessation of her menses. It is a spiraling process over time which has its ups and downs on an almost daily basis for a number of years, but it is also a wonderful time of increased wisdom and regeneration, revitalization and renewal of our entire being.

Menopause occurs on four levels, each of which has its own symptoms, but not every woman will experience all of them simultaneously. In fact, research has indicated that eight percent of women have no symptoms whatsoever at any level. Research is still being conconducted as to why. However, most women, then, do indeed have symptoms. During “Pre-Menopause”, which can occur anywhere from the ages of 30 to the mid-40s, there can be intermittent hot flashes which come every few minutes for a few seconds for several weeks or months, and then suddenly disappear for a number of years. At this time, a woman’s monthly periods can become either lighter or heavier, and she can have some mild fatigue. At “Menopause”, more symptoms occur. There can be dizziness, nausea, depression, irritability, headaches, muscle aches, heart palpitations, insomnia, anxiety, weight gain, more hair or less hair in unusual places, skin rashes, etc. At the “Climateric”, all of the symptoms of the Menopausal stage can become more pronounced as this is the “high point” of Menopause–like third -stage labor in the birthing process. Also, even more symptoms can appear such as loss of bone mass, wrinkled skin, sagging breasts, eyesight issues, etc. Now the average female is about early 50s to early 60s in age. Finally, the level of “Post-Menopause” occurs, and this can metaphorically be likened to the baby being born. In the case of the menopausal process, however, we are being re-born as wise women–as High Priestesses who can pave the way for the younger “sisters” who are going to enter into the “Divine Initiation” at some point soon or who are already in it.

At “Post-Menopause”, like “post-birth”, there can still be symptoms because we are recovering from from the erlier stages of the entire process. If women take care of themselves with proper nutrition, exercise, natural herbs, consultations with health care workers who are also spiritually-oriented, then the entire journey can be eased. The following are some of the steps that can be taken to ease the “Divine Initiation” at any stage.

Hot flashes=Black Cohosh or Motherwort hebal extracts (a dropperfull twice daily)

Fatigue=fresh vegetables, fruits and nuts throughout the day and a daily 20 to 30-minute walk

Heart palpitations=Motherwort herbal extract (a dropperfull twice daily)

Muscle aches=Arnica Gel, St. John’s Wort Oil or Wintergreen Oil rubbed into the sore places

Insomnia=”Bach Flowers” in “White Chestnut” or “Rescue Remedy” or Lavender Essential Oil (Rub the oil on the forehead and the temples and then sniff the remainder for several moments from the palms of the hands. Essential oils can also be difused in a special container called a “difuser”).

Headaches=Peppermint or Lavender Essential Oil (Use in the same manner as suggested above).

Depression=”Bach Flowers” in “Gentian” (mild depression), “Gorse” (deeper depression) or “Mustard” (serious depression–here, also consult a psychotherapist)

Elevated Blood Pressure=Motherwort herbal extract and/or Hawthorne herbal extract (Also place fresh garlic in food regularly and stay clear of salt).

Dizziness=the juice of a fresh lemon daily in each glass of water (Dizziness can also be related to a sluggish liver. In this case, we can place a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a cup of 1/2 organic apple juice and 1/2 organic grapefruit juice and drink this potion just before bed, and then sleep on our right side. The next morning when we eliminate, we will be flushing-out unwanted liver “debris” that is actually cellular debris.

At Menopause,in all of its stages, we should also take a good multi-vitamin and mineral combination which can be recommended by a health care worker. Exercise should consist of relaxing forms such as Yoga and Tai Chi. We can also release excess weight and help to alleviate muscle soreness and stiffness with these kinds of exercises. Water is a must! The current recommended amount is to divide your weight in half and drink this amount in ounces daily.

Earlier it was mentioned that the Earth is experiencing Menopause. “Her” hot flashes are the global warming; aches and pains and emotional upheavals are the earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, etc. Women today just may be having more symptoms due to the times we are living in when the Earth’s frequency is shifting at a quickened pace. The more that we respect Nature and make use of its wonderful resources the more we help to heal the planet and ourelves. Our water, soil and air has become toxic with chemical elements. This causes a reaction in the “consciousness” of the Earth, and thus, the “Earth Changes” happen as a cleansing process. We. too, are cleansing at Menopause, but more than this, we are experiencing the “Divine Initiation”.

Before taking any of the above recommended substances, it is best to consult with your physician if you are already taking chemical prescribed drugs. Some herbs do not combine with chemical drugs. Most people are either “Allopathic” (involved in drug-driven therapy and surgery) or “Naturopathic” (the natural methods mentioned in this article). We are living in times when we must make a choice as to how we wish to address our wholeness. The natural way is always best, but we have the free will to choose. Some persons are being gradually weaned off of drugs by their physicians, and many physicians are even taking courses in spiritual and natural healing from health care workers who may not have attended “traditional” medical schools such as “Naturopathic Doctors”, “Herbalists” , “Colon Therapists”, etc. Healing is a Sprit-Mind-Body process. At Menopause women are certainly not ill, but they may feel as if they are, and if they are not use to living a natural lifestyle, they may quickly go to a traditional doctor or emergency room and become involved with drugs and unnecessary invasive tests and surgeries. It has even been reported that mammograms can cause the very disease to occur which the test is suppose to find. Looking at this and the entire Menopause process in metaphysical terms, when we look for something, the universe will answer us and give it to us! The sub-conscious mind takes its orders from the conscious mind. So, its “conversation” may go like this: “Well, since Mary is looking for this disease to happen, I had better get busy and give it to her; otherwise, I am not doing my job as her sub-conscious mind. I am not taking orders from her conscious mind like I am suppose to be doing.”

The topic of the conscious, sub-conscious and super-conscious levels of mind is a very profound and serious subject which should be studied so that we can realize how we are often the contributors to our own health challenges, and this is one of the wisdoms of Menopause–being able to teach others how to use their mind power harmoniously and how to vibe with the rhythms of Nature.

Dr. Schavi M. And nowadays, most of women in the developed countries can expect to live more than a third of their lives after the menopausal stage. Do read the whole article to be better informed.

Symptoms after menopause, for technicality’s sake, are signs experienced by women after the regular menopausal period. Medically speaking, these signs appear after the 12 months of a woman’s last menstruation.

Common symptoms beyond the regular stage

The period after menopause can still produce some bothersome symptoms like vaginal itching and dryness, cramps, urinary incontinence and high blood pressure; although the last three can also be due to natural aging.

Post menopause bleeding

Arguably the most worrisome of symptoms beyond regular menopause, post menopause bleeding is when a woman bleeds after not having experienced a monthly period for a solid 12 months.

It doesn’t matter if it’s only spotting or minimal bleeding, if there is blood beyond the regular stage of menopause, then it is post menopause bleeding.

Possible causes

A woman may bleed even when she is supposed to be over the menopausal stage for a number of possible reasons. These reasons include drastic weight loss, hormonal imbalance, stress and vitamin or nutritional deficiency.

Or it could be a symptom of something more serious like infection in the bladder or urethra. Cystitis and hyperplasia could also cause bleeding. In more serious cases, uterine cancer might be the reason.

Be informed and take control<div

However, remember that getting informed is the best first step towards addressing a health-related issue.

Just because some of the possible reasons for post menopause bleeding and other after-menopause symptoms are quite serious does not mean you automatically qualify under the “serious” condition.

To ease your worries, the first thing you need to do is to see a doctor and have yourself tested.

If you have gone a year without your period or any vaginal bleeding, and then
find that you are bleeding again after reaching menopause, you are most likely
going to be very confused and maybe even frightened, but know that this is
actually very common among women.

However, keep in mind that if it has been a little less than a year since you
had your last period, you cannot be post-menopausal yet. In many cases, there is
a valid reason as to why you are experiencing post menopause vaginal bleeding,
but when it comes to any sort of irregular bleeding, you should have it seen to
by your doctor. This is especially if you have not experienced an ordinary
period for more than a year.

Just like many other signs that occur round about this time in ones life, post
menopause vaginal bleeding can be related to issues of ones lifestyle that
encourages hormonal imbalance, weight gain and emotional stress.

When ever a woman has not had a single spot of vaginal bleeding from her period
for twelve months or more and then gets it, whether it is for a week or just a
few spots, it is considered as post menopause vaginal bleeding.

This is not unusual – as it occurs in approximately 25% of menopausal women.
Even though it is more likely to happen due to the hormones shifting, it can
also sometimes happen due to the abdominal cells rising in the uterus -which is
another explanation of post menopause vaginal bleeding.

This can also be a si
abnormalities. If the situation is far worse, it could mean uterine cancer, but
this is not very common with this scenario. All of these incidents can be
treated but it is important to report any such incidents to your healthcare
provider as soon as possible.

Some of the most frequent causes of post menopause vaginal bleeding include:

Emotional Stress Issues

When a woman finds herself bleeding after she has experienced menopause, it can
very likely be from something stressful, emotional or even an unusual gush of
hormones. In many places where this subject is a profession, the doctors and
nurses have said that the most women patients they’ve had suffering from post
menopause vaginal bleeding was right after the 9/11 attack. That is definitely
due to a lot of stress and this is very common. Anything that hysterically
upsets you or stresses you out can bring on this bleeding.

Hormonal Imbalance

This is one of the most common reasons for this type of bleeding to occur. Many
women when, weaning off, changing or adding their HRT may experience this. Any
woman that has preexisting increase of tissue within her uterus is likely to
come across some bleeding after starting some kind of progestin or progesterone
therapy, which includes the well known low dose progesterone cream. This does
not go to say that it was the cream that brought on the bleeding, but it could
have permitted the uterus to discard the buildup it carried.

Weight Loss

Post menopause vaginal bleeding can also accompany major weight loss as well as
a significant amount of decrease in body fat. If a woman looses a lot of weight,
for whatever reason, it is possible for her to endure this type of bleeding.
This is because the estrogen that is kept in the fat tissue turns out to be
unconventional in the bloodstream when she loses weight. The other possibility
is when the estrogen, which relies mainly on fat tissues, is decreased as the
weight is lost, which results in a movement of the connection between the
estrogen and the progesterone. Due to these facts, it is better to loose weight
gradually, rather than all at once.

In many cases, this type of bleeding is predictable, however, for the majority
of bleeding scenarios that are hormonally related, keeping a healthy weight,
living a healthy lifestyle and reducing stress are the main ways to try and
prevent post menopause vaginal bleeding. Also, putting off a predominance of
estrogen during the years before as well as after you experience menopause can
be helpful to prevent this occurrence.

Dawn M. Olsen is an Advocate for Better Women’s Health through Education, Recipe Developer, Soy Food Enthusiast and the Author of “Menopause A to Z – A Definitive Guide to Modern Menopause available online now at a <a

Menopause and aging in general are associated with some emotional torments; depression, irritability, suspicion, insomnia etc. These emotional elements have wrecked havoc in most advanced marriages. Some people wonder why marriage of over twenty years with children could suddenly breakdown. Therefore, to every woman, post menopausal years particularly the first five years must be jealously and wisely guarded.

Do not forget that it is in this particular time that most men of the old used to take up new wives as the culture then permits. Therefore, during your menopausal and post menopausal period, you must vow to secure your marriage, not through fighting but through knowledge and wise counseling. It is expected that when a woman is not capable or willing to give what a man expects from her, there may be possibility of misunderstanding. This kind of misunderstanding abounds in most marriages particularly at a time the woman starts getting dry and aging.

Therefore, to have a stress-free menopausal period, you must be ready to cushion, conquer and overcome the associated challenges in your marriage. You can achieve these successfully with the aid of the following key points and tips:

Overcome Post Menopause Problems 1: Look Good For Life Is Good
One way to deal with menopause problems is by looking good. It would be most unfortunate for you to leave yourself unkempt and dirty simply because you feel you have given the man children. If you feel so, you may get more than you ever bargain. Menopausal and post menopausal periods ar

e very crucial and sensitive. It is the time to look good. That you are advancing in age does not mean your beauty has tarnished. No! You must be clean, make up and remain on. Your breast must be seen standing, even if it is standing with the help of foam or iron brassier. Pay attention to your looks. Don’t forget that it is your beauty not necessarily character that attracted your husband to you for the first time. Menopause is truly a challenging moment for every woman but you can make good the time by putting more beauty on yourself.

Overcome Post Menopause Problems 2: Sacrificial Love and Good Character
Sacrificial love is the kind of love that lives for the sake of others. Without mincing words, post menopausal period may demand more than you can freely give or accept but for the sake of peace, you may need to go extra miles. Against your sexual convenience, if your husband is in need of you, give yourself cheerfully without making it a subject of strong contention. However, where need be, make your husband understand your feelings through reasoning together with him but never make him a victim of circumstances. Otherwise, you may end up making him a ‘sugar daddy’.

Overcome Post Menopause Problems 3: Avoid Suspicion
Post Menopause problems will be reduced to the minimum if you can keep away from suspecting your partner. It is very characteristic of humans to analyze situations and make conclusions. Suspicion has shown to be the root cause of marriage disaster in most countries. As a man comes back from work, the wife would be searching the pockets of his wears with intent of finding lip stick or another woman’s left over to confirm her suspicion. Some smell their husband’s wears in view of perceiving a strange perfume or odor, which of course must be from another woman. Some women go further to send spies after their husbands with hope of catching them in the ‘very act’. Friend, always know that your assumptions or conclusion could be dead wrong. Your own heart can deceive you. As a matter of fact, you may never find peace in your marriage if you toll the path of suspicion. The irony of it is that which ever fault you seek in a man, you are most likely to find it because man is n imperfect character; perhaps, the very reason for seeking ‘help mate’.

Overcome Post Menopause Problems 4: Don’t Listen to Peer’s Advice
Most victims of marriage disaster don’t usually initiate the counter productive actions themselves. Rather they acted based o what they were advised by a friend or a group of friends. It is important for you to know that during the period of menopause and thereafter, there are variable changes that occur in the male counterpart generally. At such time, some men may be almost impotent and thus have little or no affection for sexual activity, while others may be battling with one form of sickness or the other. If you abide by this rule, you’ll sure overcome your post menopause problems.

Overcome Post Menopause Problems 5: Get The Best Menopause Information Menopause is the major condition that can hinder having a good, healthy and enjoyable sexual experience if not taken proper care of.

Ignorance of menopause symptoms is a disease in itself, and the only solution to relief menopause symptoms to the barest minimum is by having the right <a

What happened? You had been a pear shape – carrying extra weight in your hips, thighs and butt all your life and suddenly you notice a weight gain around your mid-section.

Many women notice their belly growing fat after 40. As you age your fat distribution tends to shift. You get less fat deposited in the arms, legs, hips, and butt yet get more in the belly. This trend increases after menopause because hormonal changes take place that change the way fat is broken down and stored by the body.

Having your belly grow fat has more significance than merely being an undesired change in your appearance; it can also cause a significant increase in health risks such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and certain types of cancer.

The body has two types of fat. Subcutaneous fat is found directly under the skin and is less likely to be a health risk then the other type of fat called visceral fat. Visceral fat is belly fat, it lies deeper inside and actually wraps itself around the internal organs of the abdomen. This latter type of fat is the dangerous kind and most responsible for your belly growing fat.

Belly fat is particularly unhealthy because it is “metabolically active”. What this means is that it more freely releases fat into the blood stream and this increased blood fat can lead to higher cholesterol levels and artery disease. This type of fat does not just take up space; it actually produces hormones and other substances that can adversely affect your health. These hormones can promote the development of insu<div

The key is to be consistent with your weight loss efforts. Exercises should combine aerobic exercise such as walking with strength training which has been shown through research to be highly effective in reducing belly fat. An effective way to schedule your exercise is to alternate you’re aerobic and strength training exercises six days of the week with one day of rest.

Dr. Becky Gillaspy

Author Bio
If you’ve tried diet and exercise but have had difficulty sticking with your plan then you will benefit from my FREE Report Think and Grow Thin! Get your free copy by visiting <a

Many have misconstrued much of the research regarding bone health and how it relates to debilitating bone conditions. Even today in our highly advanced medical age, people still hold onto old myths about bone health and osteoporosis, In this article we will look at some of these myths and attempt to dispel them by giving you the truth about bone health and Osteoporosis.

Despite all of the knowledge that is present there are still many who believe that Osteoporosis is an inevitable part of aging. This is completely untrue. In fact, osteoporosis in most people is 100 percent preventable. It is true that women, once they go through menopause, stop producing estrogen. Estrogen helps prevent bone loss. This makes women that are post menopausal more susceptible to osteoporosis and other bone conditions. However, if good bone health habits were practiced while young and continue to be implemented in later life, there is every chance that osteoporosis will be prevented.

Many people who are stricken with osteoporosis think that there is little they can do once the condition has set in. This condition is serious and can present pain and alterations to a person’s life style. However, one should not give up. Even after fractures occur there is still lots that can be done to prevent this from happening in the future. With medication, diet and proper exercise future injuries and bone loss can be avoided. Remember, it is never too late to start practicing good bone<div

It is true that older women can be more susceptible to this condition but osteoporosis can strike anyone at any age. Younger women who have had a history of asthma or arthritis are just as likely to contract osteoporosis. If these women have been taking glococorticiods for there conditions then they should have there bone density checked regularly. These medications have been known to cause bone loss.

While it is true that age does seem to present some correlation with bone deterioration, conditions such as osteoporosis can affect anyone. The good news is, osteoporosis isn’t something that just needs to be accepted as part of the aging process. It is completely preventable and even treatable with good bone health habits.

Author Bio

Grasp his other tips at <a
